Just recently i have been listening 2 my CD's threw head phones. This is a really good way 2 experience the full effect of the CD. Tool's Lateralis is the perfect example of what i mean. Listen 2 just the first song grudge and you will know what i mean.

Cold, 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage

***

Ok, I want 2 be the one who makes this statement before anyone else does. The only thing fred durst is good for in the music industry is finding good bands. He found Staind who's first Cd kicked my ass and left me begging for more but left me dissapointed with thier new CD. He found TapRoot who rock. They nolonger get along together cause they backed out of Fred's deal and signed with a different label. Fred found a few other bands i havnt heard (cause they prob suck ass) but Cold made a really good CD.
Just Got Wicked Starts out with a cool drum beat and guitars have a really wicked tune. Its a really good song. The singer who goes by the name Scooter is a really good singer he plays piano on the second song She Said which is a pretty good song also. #3 is No One which was thier first single. Really cool guitars catchy verse and chorus. This song is about his mother not believing that all her friends left her home town and shes stuck their with nobody 2 take her away and stuff. End of the World is thier second single. There isn't much guitars at the begining with the drums and bass and the sound of the 2 guitarists switching 2 different guitar pedals and letting it whirl about in the phaser and the guitars kick in during the chorus. This song sounds really cool in headphones (Which i recomend yoiu people 2 start doin 2 get the full effect of alot of Cd's listen threw them <the new tool is awsome this way>)
I really dig the mixing of the drums and the drummer is pretty cool 2. Confessions is pretty cool song. This is the song that probably spawned the title of the Cd with the lyrics. "...the only thing you'll ever be is just a way for me 2 bleed on this stage." Which doesnt mean like cutting yourself and shit (though they have like knives and shit for artwork in the inside) its bleeding like letting youir emotions out on stage.....interesting aye?.....It's all good is a pretty trippy song. Send in the Clowns has a cool bass line. Overall its a cool song.

If your wondering why i keep just saying ______ its a good song is because after a while the CD kinda bores you. With the same shit, thier is no really upbeat heavy songs. And they all sound very fuckin similar. I like this Cd and i dig everysong. It starts giving at about the song Same Drug, it has the same feel 2 it but the chorus gives you kindof a break.
Anti-Love Song is as close as you get 2 a fast pace heavy song. Phase pedal cool basslines upbeat vocals. This song is pretty kickass. Witch is a good song its has a different feel and cool chorus. Sick of Man is a slow song its a typical one of the last songs on the CD. But I really dig it, its a kickass song. The rest of the songs are ok 2.
I gave this Cd 3 astricts cause eversong is very similar. And some people can't handle that.

Cake, Comfort Eagle

*****!

First things first,
if you are a cake fan
you will love this album
if you like stoner rock you will like this.
These songs will stay in your head for weeks after you heard the album i can feel it. I am gonna play this Cd until it melts and i have 2 buy a new one.
When i bought this CD i popped it in my grandmas cd player and she said she like the first song entitled Opera singer. This is a cool song. The second song is kinda mellow called meanwhile, rick james... this song has a cool bass line and the guitar is pretty cool. Shadow Stabbing is a accustic song played threw like a guitar pedal. The drums are turned up and sounds pretty cool. It has a cool pre chorus that plays halfway threw the song. The next song is the first single called Short skirt/long jacket this song is upbeat and kinda reminds me of The distance the single off Fashion nugget. So far i said that #1-5 are good acro arena is #6 its like a instrimental the song Comfort Eagle starts out like a 70's rock song/james bond song that has a steel guitar feel, but alot of the other songs do 2. It also has a cool guitar thing in the prechorus/chorus. #8 starts out sounding like a old school rap song from like dr. dre or some shit from the guitar. The song is called Long Line of Cars. #9 Love you madly has a guitar sound like old country singer/guitarist Steve Earl till the trumpet kicks in and your about 2 say this song sucks then the vocals kick in and your like kick ass. Adding in the country sounding guitars really made the song. #10 is Pretty Pink Ribbon i think this song is kinda like a 60's pop song its ok though. The last song is World of Two its a slow song.
But cool.
I love this CD!

Deftones
Adrenaline

***and a half

This CD is great with the first song Bored you feel the heavy darkness with guitars of Steph and the awsome bass lines of Chi. All the songs have great drums and vocals too.
Minus Blindfold, One Weak, and Nosebleed are all great songs. But by far my favorite is 7 Words. Chino built a foam igloo just big enough for him and a mic'. he crawled in it and scream SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK over and over again and its so muffled that if you were to hear it for the first time it sounds like fuck. Overall a good CD.

Deftones
White Pony

*****

This Cd was a disapointment to some. BUT NOT 4 ME! This is a really good CD. It is by far the most powerful deftones CD 2 date. I bought it when it first came out so i didnt get the best song on the CD called Back To School. I got it off thier site though and burnt it on a CD. Back To School is a good Deftones song and when i bought the CD i knew somthin was missing and it was that song. Digital Bath is a good slow song with a warm feeling and a powerful chorus "I feel like more!". Elite is a fast paced heavy song with Deftones new style. Everyword is a sharp scream and the chorus is very simple and very powerful:
"When you're ripe you'll
bleed out of control
you'll bleed out of control"
the verse is powerful also with, "...you like attention
it's proof to you you're alive"
Street Carp is my second favorite song on the album and Knife Party is also a good song.
Passenger has guest vocalist James Maynard Keenan of TOOL. and is a VERY GOOD FUCKIN SONG! I love it, it starts out very long and slow for about 45sec-a minute i dont know how long for sure but its takes a while before any excitment. Very good and very powerful.
Chino makes this album very drowny cause he was workin on his side prject at the time called Team Sleep which is very drowny music. But this is the most powerful Deftones album yet.

SOULFLY
Primitive

****

The Cd starts out with some fuct up tribal music and then in Portrigues Max counts out 1,2,3,4 and then tribal like drums start out and guitars kick in
"BACK 2 THE PRIMITIVE!"
Primitive was for me a long anticipated album. With Soulfly's first self-titled album produced by Ross Robinson (awsomeguy produced Limp Bizkit's 3$Bill Ya'All, KoRn's selftitled, SLipknot's selftitled and thier new one) and featured many guest singers and guitarists. Which for a solo CD is strange. But the album kicked ass. And now with a new lineup Max got the guitarist of Snot (awsome band). With primitive they have many more guests. The second song entitled PAIN fuckin rocks it has Chino of the Deftones(awsome band) and Grady Avenall of a band i dont know called Will Haven. I love this song. The end/ bridge has a kind of Snot feeling 2 it. Bring It is a cool song 2. The bridge reminds me of Snot once again. Jump Da fuck up features Cory of Slipknot this song has drowny verses but the chorus is kickass. Overall the song kicks ass. The rest of the Cd is cool 2 one song called terrorist has Tom Araya of Slayer. And Son Song has Sean Lennon John Lennons song. But my fav song on the whole Cd is BOOM. It fuckin kicks ass. PURE FUCKIN POWER IS ALL I FEEL WHEN I HEAR THAT SONG. I cant explain the pride i feel when i hear this song cause it just happens.
"BOOM WHAT'CH YA GOT WHAT'CH YA WHAT'CH YOU GOT WHAT'CH YA GOT? BOOM!"

TOOL Lateralis

*****!

This is a really good CD. For a Tool fan. If you don't like Tool's music, you definetily won't like this CD. For me I LOVE IT! This CD has some songs that are heavy for Tool songs and then slow light songs. Just like any Tool CD the guitarist Adam Jones takes you away and signer's voice James Maynard Keenan is like the fuel that drives it. His voice can be so beautiful and then a thick growl.
The Grudge is one of my favorite it starts out nice and heavy "...Wear your grudge like a crown of negativity.
Calculate what we will or will not tolerate. Desperate to control all and everything. Unable to forgive your scarlet lettermen..."and slows down but raised again in the chorus. The Patient is a nice song "...but I'm still right here, giving blood and keeping faith. And I'm still right here..." another great song off the album.
Schism is the song they play on the radio, its a good song.
All the other songs are good just like every Tool album.
Most songs are over 6min. some over 8.

Mudvayne
LD 50

****

The Cd starts out with a space feeling like from a sci-fi movie really wierd music and a guy rambling on about mushrooms and hullicigens. The Dig kicks in the guitars tear it all up the chorus kicks in and the verse starts up "I would love to beat the face,
Of any mother fucker that's thinkin' they can change me" this comes out faster than fuck and he keeps goin its like pure power. Internal Primates Forever is a good song with wierd guitars in the verse and the chorus pounds at your eardrums if you listen 2 it with headphones (which i highly recomend). The next song entitled -1 starts out slow with vocals and guitars with the double bass pedal goin at it with a cool beat. Then they all freak out and the verse kicks in slow again. Overall good song. It gives you a taste of the rest. Song #5 called Death Blooms is probably the best in most peoples view. Cool bass vocals and lyrics are awsome. Like most Mudvayne songs the lyrics you can feel inside yourself,"Pull me out of body don't want it don't want in,
Feeble frail and rotting descending I'm lost in,
A structure that's collapsing don't want it cast into,
Maker take the body don't want it wants me "
which is the chorus and comes out awsome and then after the next verse, "I just want to run fly kites wrestle jump and play
Swim through waves that crash to shore memories in me
cocooned in misery "
Cradle is a cool song about his father never being there. Its starts out with a little guitar thingy very soft with vocal saying "breath breath breath" almost like a faint whisper of a mad man then all of a sudden "PUSH" and guitars flip out and then he sings a little soft thing and gets heavy again and fuckin fast and the song just has more and more rising action. Nothing to Gein starts out slow these lyrics are cool and then the chorus comes in "Life submissiveness,
Hypnotizing the ignorant a little boy's best friend's always his mother,
At least that's what she said,
Life of a simple man,
Taught that everyone else is dirty,
And their love is meaningless,
I'm just a soiled dirty boy,
I'm just a soiled dirty boy!"
Then it gets a almost porno like sound with the guitar and changes getting funkyer sound and heavy and gets the funky porno thing goin on again. The bass in this song has a unique sound and the lyrics are outstanding. Everything and Nothing is awsome it starts out with a cool drum beat then bass kicks with just a simple "thump thump," guitars but in and slowly builds up. This song is the shit also. I recomend everyone who likes hard rock or metal 2 buy this CD. Prod is a cool song.

Deftones
Around the fur

****and a half

This is the best Deftones CD. Starts out with there most famous song My Own Summer which introduces you 2 the bands new feel. With a raspy whisper in the versus and an explosive chorus. It starts out with a quick tap of the drums and bass and kicks in with the guitar then slows down when the lyrics come in, the first chorus kicks in but there is no lyrics in it, the verse kicks in and then you get to experience the chorus, the next verse has no guitar just bass and drums and vocals so when the chorus comes in the guitar exlodes and is really awsome to listen 2 threw headphones. This song sums up the feel of the whole album and Adrenaline. Lhabia and Mascara are good songs but my favorite is the title track. Around the Fur has a really awsome drum beat to it and the bass line is pretty cool too. Headup features Max C. the singer of Soulfly which you can tell cause its says Soulfly about 30 times in the song. It came out befor the first Soulfly song came out and introduced you to what Max's solo album was gonna be like. Overall good song Overall good CD
